Bournemouth Marathon Festival

The Bournemouth Marathon festival is an ideal fundraising opportunity for you to raise money for your choice of charitable cause, taking place annually in October it comprises of a number of running events ranging from 5K to a full marathon.

The Bournemouth Marathon Festival is formed of a range of running events including a 10K run, half-marathon and full length marathon which makes it an ideal way for you to raise funds for your charity of choice, regardless of your running ability. The festival typically takes place in mid-late October which means you will be running in fairly cool temperatures which helps to wick some of the sweat away whilst you churn through the miles. You can enter any of the races as an individual entry which you pay for or you can enter as a charity runner, meaning you have to raise a certain amount of money for your chosen charity before you run which depends on which distance event you enter. The course takes in some of the most picturesque beaches in the country, with views out over the historic Jurassic Coast at Poole if you run in the full marathon. You even get a free timing chip to track your progress and final time which is ideal if you participate as part of a running club for some friendly competition among your friends. Furthermore the event is great for families as they can run in a range of special junior events, perfect for raising funds for their school charities.
